Is Your Foundation Included? 2018 “State of Philanthropy Tech” Survey Now Open

Jun 27, 2018

Your foundation is invited to participate in the broadest scan of best practices in philanthropy IT. Designed to scan the landscape of tools, management, security, and related trends, the 2018 State of Philanthropy Tech Survey presented by the Technology Affinity Group is now open and accepting responses at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2018philanthropytech.

The survey takes just 13 minutes and is open to ALL foundations, regardless of TAG membership. Your answers will help the entire sector assess, reflect, and learn together.

New Questions Introduced for 2018

This year’s survey combines the best questions from previous scans by the Technology Affinity Group (TAG) into one sector-wide survey which TAG will be sharing with respondents, members, and the sector as a whole (in aggregated and anonymized form, of course). Additionally, new questions assessing trends and vital practices have been added:

  • How many foundations are using or funding blockchain?
  • What % of foundations have encountered a security breach?
  • How many IT staff or staff consultants does your organization have?
  • What do inclusive practices look like in IT?

These questions and more will help all of us assess the current state of #PhilanthropyTech and plan for the future.

Your Answers Make a Difference

Only one respondent per organization is needed and the survey is estimated to take just 13 minutes. All foundations are encouraged to respond.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to share with your peers. “2018 State of Philanthropy Tech” survey closes July 27. Results and analysis will be published in August.
