"TAG is an active community of professionals responsible for information and communications technology in the philanthropic sector. The community provides the highest quality resources and learning opportunities in an open and trusted environment.” — Vision Statement, TAG Strategic Plan

With this vision in mind, the TAG Awards program is designed to encourage and recognize member participation in the TAG community. There are two types of awards: biennial and annual, which would be presented during TAG's annual conference.

The program has four main goals: 1) Encourage and reward participation in the TAG Community; 2) Improve trust and collaboration in the TAG Community; 3) Increase member satisfaction; and 4) Enhance TAG's reputation as a professional organization.

Congratulations to the 2013 TAG Award recipient listed below:

Leadership Award:
Gavin Clabaugh, The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation

Congratulations to Gavin Clabaugh, Vice President of Information Technology at The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, for receiving TAG's prestigious Leadership Award!  This award is presented every 3-5 years to a TAG member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in the sector and been a trailblazer in the community.

Gavin has been giving to the nonprofit technology community for many years. He has presented at every TAG conference for 11 years straight, has served on TAG’s board, and he tirelessly shares his wealth of knowledge with others via TAG's web site.

Gavin is not just an active TAG member - he is a visionary. He has provided insight, guidance and ideas to the TAG board for years and the Simplify project is a perfect example of Gavin’s vision. This is a big step in a different direction for TAG and Gavin was instrumental in leading TAG in this direction.

Thank you and congratulations Gavin!
