TAG Leadership & Community Awards Program 2016
Share |

"TAG is an active community of professionals responsible for information and communications technology in the philanthropic sector. The community provides the highest quality resources and learning opportunities in an open and trusted environment.” — Vision Statement, TAG Strategic Plan

With this vision in mind, the TAG Awards program is designed to encourage and recognize member participation in the TAG community. There are two types of awards: biennial and annual, which would be presented during TAG's annual conference.

The program has four main goals: 1) Encourage and reward participation in the TAG Community; 2) Improve trust and collaboration in the TAG Community; 3) Increase member satisfaction; and 4) Enhance TAG's reputation as a professional organization.

Congratulations to the 2016 TAG Award recipients:

Director of Technology, Houston Endowment, Inc.

Congratulations to Tom Nall, Director of Technology at The Houston Endowment, for receiving TAG's prestigious Leadership Award!  This award is presented every 3-5 years to a TAG member who has demonstrated exemplary leadership in the sector and been a trailblazer in the community.

Tom has been active in the TAG community for many years, initially serving on the conference logistics committee and then as a board member.  As board president, it was Tom's vision for TAG to become a standalone 501c(3) organization, which TAG became in 2006.  As an emeritus member of the board, Tom continued to be active and it was Tom's vision to create a central repository of grantee data to streamline the grant application process.  This led to the Simplify Initiative and Tom has chaired the Simplify Committee for the past several years.

Thank you for your contributions to the TAG community and congratulations, Tom!

IT Manager, Grand Rapids Community Foundation

Ann is an active member of the TAG community, both online and as a committee volunteer.  In 2016, Ann served on the Research Committee, actively helping with the creation of three TAG surveys.  She also participated in the midwest regional meeting, presented and the TAG annual conference and became the coordinator for the community foundations affinity group.

Thank you and congratulations, Ann!
