TAG Leadership Award
Nomination and Voting Process
The TAG Leadership Award is awarded once every 2-3 years. The achievements of this individual must have taken place within the last 5 years. Any TAG member may submit a nomination but individuals may not self-nominate. The TAG Board will review nominations and determine the winner by majority vote. The award winner will be announced during the annual conference.
Criteria: This person demonstrates exemplary leadership in the sector and is a trailblazer in the TAG community. This person has an outstanding record of achievement and serves as a source of inspiration and encouragement to others by exemplifying TAG’s Core Values. Leadership is exemplified by service on TAG committees, active participation in TAG activities, and serving as an agent for change in the sector. He or she is committed to the professional development of other community members though shared knowledge and collaboration.
Before nominating a member, please review TAG's Core Values and comment how the nominee exemplifies TAG's 4 Core Values:
1. Information Technology (I.T.) Role. The application of Information Technology is transformative to non-profit organizations.
2. Professional Connections. Information Technology professionals are much more effective and efficient when they share knowledge and experience with each other.
3. Strong Relationships. Strong relationships and trust provide a solid support structure and safe space for deep sharing.
4. Inclusive. Technology is critical to achieving the mission of philanthropic organizations large and small. Knowledge on Information and Communications Technology in a philanthropic context should be accessible to all non-profits.
