Announcing TAG Leadership Change
Thursday, November 2, 2017
TAG continues to thrive and be a strong community of technology professionals in philanthropy so this is a good time for me to consider my next steps. I am excited to announce that I will be starting my transition to retirement!
I recently told the TAG Board that I would like to reduce my hours and responsibilities at TAG effective January 1, 2018. This means I will be stepping down as executive director at that time. I will work with TAG to ensure a smooth transition to the new executive director and I will continue to manage TAG's annual conference with Jeff Brandenburg for the next several years.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with all of you, especially the many dedicated volunteers that have served on TAG's board and committees. I've overseen TAG's growth from a small project of the Tides Foundation to a thriving membership organization. With TAG well-positioned for its next opportunity, I feel very good about stepping down at this time.
A search committee has been formed to identify a new executive director for the organization. The role will continue to be managed by a part-time consultant. Information about this exciting consulting opportunity can be found below. If you are interested in this consulting engagement or wish to recommend someone to the search committee, please contact the search committee chair, Jim Rutt at email@example.com.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the TAG conference next week.
