TAG Announces Release of Report on How Foundation's Create and Use Dashboards

March 2013

Download the full report: Data at Foundation's Fingertip: Creating and Building Dashboards

TAG commissioned Idealware to produce a report on how foundations use dashboards, which includes 8 case studies that look at the overall purpose of the dashboard, what data is included, the process for developing the dashboard and how it was implemented.

The report combines insights from conversations with 10 different foundations including previous research on methods for thinking about data-based decision making to offer a step-by-step process to design and create your own dashboard. To help you learn from the experiences of those foundations that have gone before you, we also include eight detailed case studies of foundations that have created their own dashboards.

TAG Releases Addendum to Streamlining Online Grant Applications: A Review of Vendors

January 2011

Download the Addendum to Streamlining Online Grant Applications: A Review of Vendors.

This report is an addendum to Streamlining Online Grant Applications: A review of Vendors. The original report was written by Idealware in conjunction with Project Streamline. Published in April 2010, the original report evaluated seven products against a set of features for online systems established in the Online Applications and Reporting Guide. The products evaluated included EasyGrants by Altum, eGrants by Bromelkamp, WebGrants by Dulles Technology Partners, Grant Lifecycle Manager by Foundant Technologies, IGAM by MicroEdge, PhilanTrack by PhilanTech and Common Grant Application by OceanPeak.

TAG funded the addendum in September 2010 to evaluate two more vendors: Foundation Grants Manager by NPower and GrantedGE by Fusion Labs. These two products are evaluated using the same criteria and compared to the seven products in the original report. Both are significant in the online application market and TAG felt it was important to include them in the report.
